The champion swimmer Cameron McEvoy has sold his Isle of Capri, Queensland home for $1.4 million, just ahead of travelling to Tokyo in July to compete in his third Olympic Games.

McEvoy bought the townhouse for $1.15m after returning from the Rio Olympics in 2016.

It had been built in 2016.

McEvoy hoped to secure around $1.5m.

Josh Longhitano of Lucent, Burleigh Heads was marketing the property which is one of four in the development.

Longhitano had been prepared to accept cryptocurrency, including KuCoin.
