First look exclusive: Deicorp submit plans for The Avenues, mixed-use Zetland precinct
Melbourne-based developer Little Projects and joint venture partner R.Corp have received approval for their Broadbeach apartment tower, One Australia, following a revision of their original plans.
One Australia, located at 118 Old Burleigh Road, will home 20 full-floor apartments across a 23-level tower.
The project, initially planned as a 30-level tower with 33 apartments, was revised after the Gold Coast City Council rejected the original proposal in early 2023.
The developers collaborated with the council and engaged Plus Architecture to redesign the tower, resulting in a scaled-down version that reduced the number of floors and units.
Each apartment in the new plan will feature four bedrooms, 274 sqm of internal living space, and a 20 sqm balcony. The exception is a two-level penthouse, offering 530 sqm of indoor and outdoor space, including a private rooftop terrace with a pool, firepit area, outdoor kitchen, and alfresco space.
Resident amenities will be located on the first level and will include a swimming pool with day beds, a gym with a sauna, and a work-from-home space adjacent to the entry lobby. The development will also feature three levels of basement parking with space for 29 cars.
This project marks R.Corp’s first venture on the Gold Coast. Little Projects, led by Leighton Pyke, has previously developed in Broadbeach, notably with the Signature project on Elizabeth Avenue.
